Case Study 3.

London Borough Of Newham:
A complete exhibition solution in two weeks.

The scenario: Two weeks before a show, on a Friday afternoon we were contacted by a Borough Council, they had been let down by another supplier, who had stated that the job was simply not possible in the time, certain that what they wanted was achievable we met on the Monday and discussed the project in detail. By Wednesday we had submitted a suggested design that met all of the criteria, with some variable options. An approval of the submitted Stand layout costs and plan was obtained on the Friday, then in the last week before the event the graphics were designed and printed, the individual component parts ordered from various manufacturers and all assembled in our premises in Greenwich, All of these pieces then went with one of the Mirafield Graphics team going directly to the event in Excel Exhibition Centre on the build day (Saturday).

The specific requirements: Draw people on to the stand to talk to their many advisers. Display lots of easy to take literature. Online interactive job board. Strong branding, to underline powerful new services. Make use of the location that they had right in front of the entrance.Fill a 6x8M space with a minimal budget, whilst ensuring it looked goodMake all items re-usable, individually and as a whole groupEnsure all items pack into small storage cupboard in client’s office.

The solution: As the stand requires a lot of personnel it’s important to leave plenty of space for them all to mingle with stand visitors this dictated that the all important branding would be in the middle of the stand, thus, opening up the rest of the stand from the edges. The exception was the front of the stand, where extra impact was needed on visitor arrival and so here we used solid boards with a simple branded message specific to the event and storage space behind, (which included the electrics for the upright computer pods that we had placed).
